Our PPG

What is a Patient Participation Group (PPG)?

A Patient Participation Group (PPG) is made up of patients who want to work with the practice to make things better for everyone – patients, doctors, and staff. Every GP surgery is required by the NHS to have a PPG.

What does the PPG do?

Our PPG helps us improve patient experience. This includes:

  • Sharing feedback about patient needs, concerns, and ideas
  • Representing patients while also helping explain the practice’s point of view
  • Passing on useful information about local services and community health issues
  • Giving patients a voice in how care is organised
  • Making sure the group reflects the whole patient community
  • Taking part in discussions about how services are developed and improved
  • Supporting health promotion and preventative care within the practice

Why should I join?

If you’ve been a patient, carer, parent, or friend of someone who uses our surgery, your experience matters. By joining, you can:

  • Gather and share feedback from other patients
  • Share your views and ideas to help us improve
  • Make a real difference to the way patients are cared for
  • Learn more about how the NHS works

How often does the PPG meet?

We meet at the surgery, but not too often. We know that you are busy, so we meet only a few times per year and hope that you can join us. If you can’t make meetings then don’t worry – you can still be part of our virtual group.

How can I join the PPG?

We are always looking to grow our PPG. Your experiences matter and you can bring different ideas to the surgery. You can help us treat patients better and improve patient experience

If you are interested in joining the group, please contact the practice lead by calling our reception team.
